Qualification Process

 
In order to use Bluetooth technology the company must become a Member of the Bluetooth SIG. The Bluetooth Qualification of products is a prerequisite for obtaining the Bluetooth intellectual property license and applying the Bluetooth trademarks to a product. All qualified products must be listed on the Bluetooth End Product List.
 
 
The individual steps to obtaining Bluetooth Qualification are:
            
        Concept:
1. Commence the project on the Bluetooth website (www.bluetooth.org)
2. Obtain the Bluetooth Design ID
 
Prototype:
3. Define the product features
4. Complete the Test Plan
5. Manufacture prototype product 
 Testing:
6. Complete relevant testing of the prototype
7. Complete Test Report Declaration
8. Submit Test Report Declaration to the Bluetooth SIG
 Qualification:
9. List the product on the Bluetooth website (www.bluetooth.org)
10. Label product with the ID
11. Sign DoC, SDoC and agree to enforcement policy
12. Pay the Listing Fee
